week 7

 Wow, it's week 7, I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! We had a great day on Thursday celebrating our school sports carnival, congratulations to all the girls and boys for your amazing efforts and superb sportsmanship. Congratulations to our award winners: Darcy & Lily-Eve! OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD It's that time of year that we participate in the 'Operation Christmas Child' shoe box initiative that has been a wonderful OLC tradition for many years and reflects our school value of Compassion so well. These shoe boxes are sent to underprivileged children throughout the world as a gift for Christmas.  The children will be placed into in groups of four and between them, they will fill a shoebox with a variety of items. The items do not need to be expensive. Each child in the group will be asked to cover the cost of sending the shoebox to its final destination. We ask them to bring in $2.50 each. Good Afternoon and welcome to week 6!! Can you believe that we are already in week 6? This term is certainly flying! This week we are practicing our formal algorithms for multiplication before we move onto division.  In English we are reading and writing informative paragraphs.  Our keeping safe health program is in full swing as we are focused on private and what to do if we are feeling uncomfortable.  In science we are exploring how the size of things may change the rate at which they change state. Homework Homework this week includes the homework grid, reading, mental maths and a spelling list with the focus sound that we are learning. Should your child require a new reader, please support them to remember to bring it in to be swapped. Reminders Before school Drop Off At this point, we have been directed that restrictions of adults in the class will continue until instructed otherwise so Kiss and Drop will still remain. As school begins at 8.40 am, if your child arrives after this t
